Job Description:
A methodically growing community bank confidentially seeks a
Senior Controller who would grow into a future CFO. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in accounting-pulling and
reporting historical financial records to the CFO for discussion
with complete accuracy. A collaborative style in this Senior
Controller role, of communicating well with all support staff and
peers is essential. This particular Senior Controller role is for
in-office presence in a bank. This Senior Controller role is ideal
for a person who wants to learn all of the strategy pieces under
the guidance of a higher-level CFO on-premises. This role is for a
smart, humble, though, and confident Senior Controller type wanting
to grow in analysis and strategy. A clear understanding of risk,
investment, debt, and equity loads is required. The ability to join
the bank group and consistently see with new eyes the priorities of
the capital mix is imperative. Clear direction, supported by
reports regarding the effectiveness of current operations and
ability to develop the bank group's future capitally, and the
ability to clearly communicate that to bankers and board members
are also essential skills for this position.Compensation:

- This role has a bigger title than actual strategy. This is a
great, "next step" toward a Chief Financial Officer role for a
Senior Controller or Accountant in community bankRequirements:
- CPA or willingness to obtain is preferred
- 3 years banking Controller experience or strong financial
accounting leadership within various banking/credit union business
models is key
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
- 1 years in leadership/management role
- 5 years of progressive banking experience
- Documentation of past projects and successesDuties:
- Provide Strategic recommendations with their Team
- Oversight of multiple departments/teams in operations and
accounting
- Speak to the trends
- Grow bank revenues and increase efficiencies in all areas of
operations
- Raise capital
- Prepare are general ledger reconciliations along with quarterly
call and monthly board reports
- OCC reporting and other weekly, quarterly, year-end
reports
- Maintain employee benefits plan
- Stock and bond portfolio and activities for the bank
- Leadership and planning for strategic growth
