Job Description:
Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Sheboygan Falls,
Wisconsin. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely
processing of bi-weekly payroll for a large workforce, ensuring
compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
This is a long-term contract position, offering the opportunity to
contribute to a dynamic work environment and develop expertise in
payroll operations. Responsibilities: • Process daily electronic
batches and manually enter timecards as required. • Manage and
calculate bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and completion. •
Calculate employee travel pay and address related queries. •
Prepare and deliver comprehensive payroll reports as requested. •
Reconcile payroll liabilities and receivable accounts through
detailed reporting. • Oversee contract employee hours and invoice
processing. • Facilitate year-end procedures, including W2
preparation and system updates. • Assist in bank and check
reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. • Collaborate
with team members to enhance personal and shared knowledge of
payroll systems and practices.• Associate’s Degree in Accounting
preferred but not mandatory. • Minimum of 3 years of relevant
experience in payroll processing. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications, particularly Excel and Word. • Familiarity with
Ceridian software and Workwise systems is advantageous. • Strong
mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic
calculations accurately. • Capability to develop, document, and
adhere to procedures effectively. • Excellent communication skills
for presenting information and addressing questions from managers
and external auditors. • Experience with multi-state payroll and
processing for over 500 employees is highly desirable.
