Job Description:
Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Commercial Body Shop Painter
to join our team within the Automotive industry, focusing on the
enhancement and maintenance of commercial vehicles. This role is
crucial in ensuring the high-quality appearance of vehicles,
aligning with Clean Harbors' commitment to excellence,
environmental sustainability, and safety. The ideal candidate will
have a strong background in automotive painting and be passionate
about contributing to a safer and cleaner environment. Prepare
surfaces for painting on a variety of commercial vehicles, ensuring
thorough removal of old paint, rust, and other debris using
appropriate tools and techniques. Select and mix the appropriate
paint and materials to achieve desired colors and textures, while
adhering to all environmental and safety regulations. Apply primer,
paint, and finishing coats in a professional manner, using brushes,
spray guns, or other equipment, achieving a smooth and consistent
finish. Inspect and assess the quality of painted surfaces and
perform necessary touch-ups. Maintain a clean and organized work
environment, ensuring that all tools and materials are handled in
accordance with safety protocols. Manage paint supplies and
inventory, ensuring the disposal of hazardous waste in compliance
with environmental regulations. Proficiency with different types of
painting equipment, such as spray guns and brushes. Strong
knowledge of paint mixing and application techniques. Good color
vision and aesthetic sense for high-quality finish work.
Understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to
paint and solvent usage. Ability to stand for extended periods and
lift heavy objects as needed. Certification from a recognized trade
school in automotive painting or equivalent practical training
preferred. Compliance and safety training certificates related to
handling hazardous materials are advantageous.
