Job Description:
Job Description Job Description We are looking for a talented
Special Education Teacher for the school year. This position is for
a self-contained classroom with a caseload of 5-8 students
specializing in behavior needs. This teacher will provide primary
literacy, math, science, and social studies instruction for
students in third through fifth grade in small groups. This teacher
will also be responsible for creating and implementing
Individualized Education Programs for students, collecting and
analyzing data on student IEP goals and collaborating and
communicating with various stakeholders, including student IEP
teams and parents. Hourly Rate Range: $44.00-$56.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include: Develop and implement
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with
disabilities. Provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one,
small group, and inclusive classroom settings. Adapt lesson plans,
curriculum, and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning
needs. Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven
decision-making. Collaborate with general education teachers,
therapists, and support staff to ensure student success.
Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and
parent-teacher conferences. Maintain accurate records and
documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education
(ISBE) and IDEA guidelines. Implement behavioral intervention plans
(BIPs) and classroom management strategies. Required
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education
from an accredited program. Illinois Professional Educator License
(PEL) with a Special Education Endorsement (issued by the Illinois
State Board of Education – ISBE). LBS1 (Learning Behavior
Specialist I) endorsement required. Experience with IEP development
and implementation. Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check
