Senior Chief Engineer in Body/Structures you will lead the
development of innovative Body in White (BIW) components and
chassis structures to achieve best-in-class vehicle structural,
Noise Vibration Harshness (NVH) and crash performance. You will
work with cutting edge automotive technologies including aluminum
and hybrid structures to assure designs meet customer requirements,
corporate objectives are safe, and can be manufactured and produced

both customer and suppliersContacts other departments to ensure
that all questions have been answeredAnalyzes feedback from
customer and suppliers regarding performanceAssume engineering
responsibility for assigned programProvide leadership to a large
technical staff to ensure program successPrepare plans and assign
projects and responsibilities to subordinatesConduct performance
reviews of subordinates and recommend position or salary
changesMaintain effective communication with suppliers, customers,
and internal departments concerning technical issues affecting the
programProvide management to technical staff including resource
planning, scheduling, and administrationEnforce the proper use of
engineering criteria and drawing standards. Ensure that technical
issues are conducted with the framework of company policies and
procedureTo be able to attain a commercial driver's license if
required to accomplish assigned projectsProvides assistance in
service activities and manual preparationWork closely with CAE
teams interpreting and using analysis results to guide and evolve
the designMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Mechanical
Engineering12-plus years related experienceExperience with
automotive body structures and chassis designSTANDOUT
QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in Mechanical EngineeringExpertise in
vehicle high volume body-in-white and/or closures design
engineeringKnowledge and ability to integrate state-of-the-art
design and manufacturing methods into product concepts and designs
including familiarity with GD& T and dimensional engineeringWorking
knowledge of aluminum structure, bondments, and joining
techniquesExperience in product development, from concept through
