President, Engineering for Oshkosh Defense will be an inspirational
leader, business partner and advocate for our customer. Their

growth strategy.They will assure that the design and program
management process results in cost effective products that meet
performance requirements and are delivered on time.The Defense VP
Engineering will be a role model for the Oshkosh Core Values and

Difference" in the lives of our team members, customers, and
communities.They will work collaboratively with the Defense
Leadership Team and the enterprise Engineering Leadership Team in
developing, communicating, and overseeing Engineering strategy for
the organization.They will lead the Engineering teams supporting
Defense vehicle platforms and Test & Development.Additional
responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
following:Drive Vision & Purpose: Inspire innovation and a passion
for serving our customer.Strategic Vision: Identify future
possibilities and translate into strategies. Drive engagement and
commitment among engineering team.Financial Acumen: Manage the
budgeting process to include recommending capital improvements and
business case analysis.Cultivate Innovation: Research, study, and
propose the use of advanced technologies to be leveraged in the
development of new and improved products.Develop Talent: Champion
the career development of team members, including succession
planning, coaching, stretch assignments, etc.Communicate: Develop
and deliver multi-mode communications across a diverse audience,
inclusive of executive leadership, suppliers, internal and external
customers, and outside resources.Planning and Alignment: Prepare
and issue information reports on specific programs and projects
relating to engineering systems, production engineering, and
product design and development. Manage and guide engineering
analysis to support the selection of parts, components, and
materials that meet requirements.Ensure Accountability: Provide
leadership to technical staff including resource planning,
scheduling, and administration to ensure program
success.Collaboration: Build and strengthen cross-functional
teamwork and communications across the department and
segment.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in
EngineeringMinimum of 12 years' strategic product development
experienceMinimum of 12 years' experience building and leading
teams to execute against roadmaps that align to organization
strategiesSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degreeOshkosh is
