Job Description Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining slicing, packaging, and press machinery and equipment. Specializing in food products such as sliced fruit, naked fruit juice, and other cold-pressed juices and produce, we require a professional with electrical experience, as well as previous GMP and refrigeration experience, to join our restructured maintenance department. Responsibilities Perform maintenance on machinery and equipment including slicers, packaging, and presses. Conduct mechanical repairs on conveyors, belts, bearings, gears, and pumps. Handle electrical repairs on single/3 phase motors, fuses, relays, and systems ranging from 120-480v. Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment. Engage in preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability. Utilize PLC troubleshooting skills for efficient operations. Essential Skills Proficiency in pneumatics and 3-phase systems. Experience in mechanical repairs and motor maintenance. Strong skills in hydraulics and troubleshooting. 2 years of GMP maintenance experience. 3 years of mechanical or electrical repairs. 3 years of maintenance technician experience at the same company. Electrical troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PLCs, machine building, and fabrication is a significant advantage. Why Work Here? Work Environment The position is for the 1st shift, operating from 6 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available. The work is conducted in a GMP environment, requiring the use of hair nets, beard nets, smocks, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses. Candidates will need to provide their own tools. There is no ammonia refrigeration involved. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
