Fuels Technician Renewable Energy Infrastructure Services Salary:
$25.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience OUR CLIENT On behalf of
our client, we are seeking an Alternative Fuels Technician to join
a growing team dedicated to designing, building, and maintaining
advanced renewable and alternative energy fueling infrastructure.
This full-time, day-shift position (Monday through Friday) supports
a network of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas
(RNG) fueling stations throughout the region. As part of an
experienced technical service group, you will ensure the safe,
reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical
systems across multiple locations. Responsibilities include
performing troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, inspections,
and component replacements to optimize station performance and
maximize uptime. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Minimum of a high school
diploma or GED; post-secondary technical training or certification
is an asset. 3–5 years of mechanical, electrical, or
instrumentation experience—preferably in CNG, RNG, LNG, LCNG, or
related alternative energy systems. Working knowledge of
compressors, dryers, storage tanks, pumps, valves, and control
systems. Ability to diagnose and repair electrical components,
including motors, conduit, relays, frequency drives, sensors, and
PLC logic. Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with
digital maintenance software and service reporting tools. Strong
troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills, with a
proactive and safety-focused work approach. Valid driver's license
with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to site
locations as needed. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.,
climbing ladders, and working outdoors in varied weather
conditions. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform scheduled preventive
maintenance, inspections, and repairs on CNG and RNG station
equipment, including compressors, dispensers, pumps, actuators,
dryers, and piping systems. Conduct electrical diagnostics and
repairs on wiring, motor control circuits, PLCs, transducers, and
sensors. Inspect, maintain, and service mechanical systems such as
valves, filters, heat exchangers, and intercoolers for safe and
efficient operation. Execute corrective and proactive maintenance
strategies to minimize downtime and ensure peak system performance.
Maintain detailed service records, logging data such as pressures,
voltages, and flow rates while tracking all work performed and
parts used. Ensure fueling site cleanliness, safety, and
appearance, including basic surface and grounds upkeep. Collaborate
with fellow technicians, dispatch, and operations teams to support
optimal station uptime and reliability. Participate in a periodic
on-call rotation for emergency response and after-hours service as
