Job Description Job Description Senior Sales Hunter – Production
Machining Basin Precision Machining – Jefferson Division A Wenzel
Industries Company Position Summary Basin Precision Machining
(Jefferson Division) is seeking a Senior Sales Hunter who can
deliver immediate commercial impact. This role is responsible for
generating fast RFQs, securing early purchase orders, shortening
sales cycles, and filling open machine capacity across our FMS
systems, horizontal machining centers, CNC turning centers, and
vertical machining centers. This is a pure new-business role for a
top-performing salesperson who understands production machining,
moves with urgency, and thrives in a modest base salary with
explosive, uncapped commission potential. The ideal candidate
brings existing OEM, Tier-1, and Tier-2 relationships along with a
proven history of winning high-volume, low-mix, multi-year
production machining programs. Immediate Impact Requirements (First
30–90 Days) This position is specifically designed to produce
near-term conversions, not traditional long-cycle sales processes.
The successful candidate will: Generate qualified RFQs within the
first 30 days. Convert opportunities into purchase orders within
60–90 days. Leverage existing OEM, Tier-1, and Tier-2 relationships
for early traction. Target components that can run immediately on
BPM Jefferson’s existing equipment. Demonstrate measurable
commercial momentum early in the role. Reduce dependency on long,
engineering-heavy sales cycles. This role exists to fill open
machine capacity quickly and help stabilize and grow Jefferson’s
performance without delay. Long-Term Impact (3–18 Months) Beyond
early wins, the Senior Sales Hunter will build a pipeline of
repeatable, production machining programs that deliver strong
margins and multi-year revenue. These programs must be sourced
through efficient sales cycles. The focus is on production programs
that match BPM Jefferson’s capabilities, including: Manifolds •
Valve bodies Hydraulic blocks • Pump and compressor housings
Shafts, spools, sleeves, and cylindrical components Aluminum and
steel cooling plates Driveline and powertrain components Automation
and robotics components All programs must be high-volume, low-mix,
and aligned with current equipment. Required Experience and
Capabilities Minimum 10 years selling CNC machined components.
Proven success winning OEM, Tier-1, and Tier-2 production machining
programs. Strong machining knowledge, including cycle times,
tolerances, GD&T, materials, and manufacturability. Ability to
drive short sales cycles and secure early purchase orders.
Demonstrated success targeting and winning high-volume, low-mix,
multi-year machining work. Existing customer relationships in
hydraulics, fluid power, off-highway, construction, agriculture,
pumps and compressors, powertrain/driveline, automation, robotics,
or industrial equipment. High personal drive, accountability, and
urgency. Strong communication and negotiation skills with
disciplined qualification habits. Preference for a role with a
modest base salary and high variable upside. Industry Focus This
role targets industries that deliver recurring, multi-year
machining demand that aligns with BPM Jefferson’s equipment and
capacity: Primary Focus Hydraulics and fluid power Pumps and
compressors • Off-highway and construction equipment Agriculture
equipment • Powertrain and driveline (non-commodity automotive)
Secondary Focus Warehouse automation and robotics Industrial
equipment OEMs AI data-center cooling components Compensation The
compensation structure includes a modest base salary and an
uncapped commission plan designed for high performers. The
commission program rewards new customer acquisition, new production
program wins, fast-path conversions, strong margin performance, and
machine-utilization impact. This role is designed for
high-performance sales professionals who excel in environments
where compensation is directly tied to results. The base salary is
intentionally modest, and the majority of earning potential comes
from commissions. If you perform best when your income reflects
your impact, this role is an excellent fit. Key Expectations for
Success High responsiveness, strong qualification discipline, and
clear opportunity management. Ability to identify and win parts
that immediately fit FMS, HMC, turning, and VMC platforms.
Consistent delivery of short-cycle wins along with strategic
multi-year programs. Strong internal collaboration with
engineering, quoting, operations, and quality. Demonstrated ability
to shorten time from RFQ to award. This role is suited for a
high-urgency, results-driven salesperson who consistently wins
production machining work quickly and builds long-term commercial
value. How to Apply Interested candidates should submit a resume
and summary of relevant machining sales achievements to
