PLUMBING ENGINEER / PLUMBING DESIGNER " PLUMBING SYSTEMS Milwaukee, Wisconsin JOB TITLE: Plumbing Engineer / Plumbing Designer OFFICE LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI TERM: Full-Time Permanent Hire COMPENSATION: Highly competitive compensation package plus benefits and performance bonus JOB DESCRIPTION: Prestigious National Architecture & Engineering Design firm actively seeks talented, skilled and experienced Plumbing Engineer / Plumbing Designer to join our mechanical engineering team within our Milwaukee, WI office. The ideal and successful Plumbing Engineer / Designer will perform plumbing design duties and responsibilities under the direction of the Lead Plumbing Engineer by maintaining a commitment to design and quality consistent with project expectations, responsive to the client's needs and deadlines, and in accordance with our firms engineering procedures, standards and quality expectations. Plumbing Engineer / Plumbing Designer Qualifications & Experience Needed: Bachelors or Masters degree in Plumbing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field (preferred) Minimum of 4+ years of work experience in the design of plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, laboratory or higher education project types, including sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage and domestic water systems, preferred. Experience with medical gas systems, natural gas/fuel oil systems and fire protection system design is preferred. Candidate must have experience with Revit MEP. Registered / Licensed PE is preferred (not required) LEED AP and/or being an active member of professional societies (ASHRAE, ASPE, USGBC) is a plus. Must have strong communication and teamwork skills Must be self-motivated, initiative taking and able to work with minimal supervision. Plumbing Engineer / Plumbing Designer Role and Responsibilities include: Work under the direction of the Lead Plumbing Engineer to design plumbing systems as well as select and schedule equipment. Perform and document design calculations. Produce design documentation in Revit as well as coordinating with other disciplines. Research design options and document findings as directed by the Lead Plumbing Engineer. Assist in editing project plumbing specifications and review of shop drawings. Organize and maintain project files. Inform Mechanical Department Leader and Lead Plumbing Engineer of changes in workload and project scope, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact initial assignment.
