This is a high impact position with responsibility for several North American production facilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Coach the team of eight to ensure a World Class customer experience - Cross functional communication needs (product/system cross-training, process, procedural and cadence alignment).Prioritize the daily operations of the department, delegating where appropriate.Monitor and Document performance to Badger Meter performance metrics.Possess and project a Continuous Improvement mindset.Provide Technical Analysis of purchases utilizing the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and reports.Provide Technical Analysis and adjustment of ERP Parameters.Negotiate contracts with suppliers for material requirements.Cultivate collaborative business relations with suppliers emphasizing Quality products, on time Delivery, optimal Cost and terms, and Environmental responsibility.Lead resolution on items such as defective purchases, invoice problems, order changes and cancellations, etc.Develop Business Review cadence with major suppliers.Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective action per Badger Meter policy.Support, plan, and execute sourcing strategies for products and services in conjunction with cross-functional project teams.Evaluate and analyze supplier quotations to determine best overall value for Badger Meter.Participate in regulatory, customer, and Quality standard related audits.Support career development goals of direct reports.QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of related experienceManagement experience highly preferredBachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain and Production/Inventory ControlAdvanced experience with MS Word, Excel, and OutlookAdvanced experience with MRP SystemExperience with Negotiation, Contract Review, CAD/Technical Drawing ReviewAn Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
