Responsibilities









As the Director of Technical Product Management for Offboard solutions, you'll provide leadership for the Offboard Technical Product Management function, to support collaboration across operations, customer support, sales, and engineering teams to ensure we develop and implement technology and product platform strategies that will ensure delivery of superior value to our customers including product performance/functionality, flexibility, and reliability.Develop and execute budgets, strategic plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives. Work with team to maintain accountability.Develop strategy for existing and new technology platforms, including commercial planning and pricing.Responsible for project and pipeline forecasting and financial modeling to improve the efficiency of our Engineering investments for growth.Responsible for engagement/negotiations with external collaborative partners including for new technology access and channel development.Responsible for accurate and timely maintenance of project schedules and plans for all Product Management projects.Assist sales team to develop and establish technical proposals for customers.Ensure adherence to department budgets.Assures consistency in all product documentation. Approve deviations on product management and engineering documentation.Assist with the development of new business opportunities.May be involved in the specification and selection of new equipment.Coordinate and communicate matters of mutual concern with internal teams.Lead or coordinate investigations regarding discrepancies, and monitors results of corrective actions.Keep internal teams informed of competitive information gained regarding pricing, products, or general issues in the market.Participate in industry events such as trade shows, conferences, and other travel as required.Coordinate and/or direct major projects.Work with leadership staff to develop and monitor metrics relevant to division business model.Keep informed of new developments in the economy or marketplace that are relative to the success of the organization.Assure staffing requirements are met.Encourage team member growth and development.Administer annual team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.This position pays - $166,000 - $308,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)













Qualifications









Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years of Product Management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ideal candidate will also pocess:
    • Demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Sharp presentation skills.
    • Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office programs.
    • Exceptional oral and written communications.
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
    • Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong ability to collaborate with teams.
    • Capability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
    • High level of patience and service.
    • Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
    • Ability to travel 10%, up to 50% of time, depending on position.
