Job Description:
General Internal Medicine (F6/5) is a fast-paced medical unit
that offers challenging and rewarding nursing opportunities.We are
seeking a Registered Nurse :Help provide high-quality,
patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters
and values collaboration, respect, and education.Join a team of
remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for general care
patients with complex medical diagnoses.The General Internal
Medicine Unit is a 28-bed inpatient, general medicine unit focused
on high-quality patient care and medical education. The unit is
home to all three general medicine teaching services; most of
F6/5's patientsare on these services.You may also care for "Special
Pathogens" populations.Education:Preferred Baccalaureate degree in
nursing.Work Experience:Minimum One (1) year relevant clinical
experience.Preferred Two (2) years of recent experience in acute
care in medical/surgical nursing.Licenses and
Certifications:Minimum Registration as a professional nurse in the
State of Wisconsin. CPR certification.Preferred - Medical-Surgical
Nurse Certification.Required Skills, Knowledge, and
Abilities:Knowledge regarding quality improvement and standards of
care within practice area.Experience in teaching patients and
families.Excellent communication skills.Ability to effectively
delegate and supervise the work of other nursing team
members.Physical Requirements:Medium: Ability to lift up to 50
pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects

90%FTE, 36 hours/week. This is an Evening/Night position with
variable (8) eight and (12) twelve-hour shifts: 1500-2300,
1900-0700, 2300-0700. Every other weekend, Holiday rotation
required, No on-call required. Hours may vary based on operational
