settingsAcute,OtheroverviewWe are currently seeking a Certified
Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with the ability to practice
both autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of health
providers on the interprofessional team to deliver high-quality,
holistic, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services. The
CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in
a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to,
surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain
management. All candidates should have in-depth knowledge of
administering anesthesia to patients undergoing a variety of
surgical or non-surgical procedures. To succeed in this role, the
ideal candidate must demonstrate good judgment and the ability to
respond appropriately to stressful conditions. Schedule: - Ongoing
position starting in March - Schedule: 8s, 10s, 12s available. Most
shifts start at 6:30 am. One 8-hour shift starts at 11 am and ends
at 7:30 pm. - 4-6 total calls per month. - 1st and 2nd call call
taken from home/hotel - Weekend call rotates among staff - Call is
required - Competitive compensation Responsibilities Very diverse
case mix. Level 3 trauma Almost all major subspecialties
represented very few craniotomies. Predominance is general surgery,
ortho, eyes & GYN OB is very autonomous for CRNAs Place, monitor &
troubleshoot epidurals Excellent 24/7 NICU care the expectation is
anesthesia takes care of mother 2000 deliveries a year; 75%
epidurals, 20% C Section (includes small % VBAC) On call, CRNA
comes in for C-Sections. Pediatrics - Healthy ear tubes & tonsils;
occasional pediatric lap apply on call Cardiac cases increasing
volumes with minimally invasive procedures Typically onpump bypass
& valves Lines placed by surgeon, monitored by anesthesia. MDA
places TEE probe CV case experience not mandatory, but must be able
to manage a double lumen tube.
