MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT NURSE POSITION SUMMARY

The MAT nurse works as part of a team with the MAT Case Manger to manage all aspects of pt. care for incarcerated individuals receiving Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder and support a recovery-oriented system of care within the facility.
-Dispense MAT medications
-Monitor medication adherence
-Medication inventory management
-Initial and ongoing SUD (substance use disorder) assessment and evaluation
-Care coordination
-Health promotion
-Comprehensive transitional care and re-entry planning
-Collaborate with community treatment providers and social support services
-Documentation and data collection

MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT NURSE REQUIRMENTS

RN License required.
Previous substance use treatment experience preferred.
