Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring WI or compact licensure and prior pre-op/PACU experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is in a perioperative care unit within a hospital setting - Patient population includes pre-op and post-anesthesia care - Primary shifts are 10 hours, typically 05:30-16:00 or 07:30-18:00, with occasional 10:00 start times depending on volume - Call required one night per week (20:00-07:30) and every 4th to 5th weekend (Sat 06:30-06:30, Sun 19:00-06:30) - Rotating holiday coverage as needed with regular staff - Use of Epic EMR is required - Onsite floating may be necessary within skill set or to locations within 40 miles if needed - Care responsibilities include both pre-operative and post-anesthesia nursing management - Must be willing to float to similar units or within a 40-mile radius based on facility needs - Holiday shifts are assigned on a rotating basis with other staff members - Dress code and scrub requirements will be provided upon hire - Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate, per facility radius rules /n /n Requirements/n - Active RN license for WI or active compact RN license - Minimum of 1 year of pre-op/PACU nursing experience - Current BLS certification from AHA - Current ACLS and PALS certifications required - Nursys license verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start - U.S. Social Security Number and a U.S. address are required - Driver’s License and two professional references are required for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-615391.
