We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky. This opportunity begins on Apr 13, 2026, and offers flexible swing shift coverage, typically 11a-11p, with 10-15 shifts per month. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of recent emergency medicine experience and a commitment to high-quality acute care. Job Details - Location: Kentucky - Start Date: Apr 13, 2026 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: 10-15 shifts/month; typical shift is 11a-11p (subject to change, flexibility required) Responsibilities and Duties - Provide acute care to patients presenting with emergent medical conditions - Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans - Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care - Respond promptly to medical emergencies in accordance with facility protocols - Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately and timely - Adhere to all relevant state and facility guidelines for emergency medical practice Additional Information - Must have at least 3 years of recent emergency medicine experience - Required licenses: Kentucky Nurse Practitioner license - Required board certifications: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) - Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Flexibility to adapt to shift hour changes as needed Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
