As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to: Provide advanced inpatient cardiac care for cardiac surgery patients - Preop orders and postoperative transplant care - Participation in Heart Failure/Shock team protocols - Participation in multidisciplinary rounds, review for appropriate billing - Clinical Management of Advanced Therapies- Impella, ECMO, LVAD - Complex wound management, chest tubes, pacing wires, sternal closure monitoring Outpatient participation for patient work-up and continuity of care - Preoperative evaluation- VAD and transplant candidacy - Participate in transplant selection conference - Coordinate care from inpatient to outpatient transplant clinic Education: - If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program. - If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – If Nurse Practitioner*: - Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND - Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
