Radiology Tech Location: Rockford, IL Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,920 to $2,080 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $48.00 - $52.00/Hourly. Shift: 4 - 10 hour night shifts per week (8p-6a or 9p-7a) with an every other weekend rotation and a holiday rotation. Summary: We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented radiologic technologist to be responsible for operating imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes. The radiologic technologist's responsibilities include following physicians' orders regarding the area of the body to scan, positioning patients and equipment, and answering patients' questions. Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm and fluoroscopic procedures. Reviews patients’ clinical history ensuring that appropriate order placed and labs are within range as needed- reviewing with radiologist as necessary Provides patient education. Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices and accessories to successfully perform procedures. Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Initiates basic life support when necessary. Determines radiographic technique and exposure factors. Follows ALARA principles through accurate exposure factors and radiographic techniques. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. Reports and documents XR/FL safety incidents/adverse events per protocol. Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control. Uses radiology information systems (including PACS), completes all required records and reports, submits images and data for physician review and interpretation. Assist with medical record/image sharing as necessary. Documents all information pertinent to XR/FL procedure in electronic medical record to include medication reconciliation Provides practical instruction for radiography students and partners. Applies principles of patient safety during procedures, including assisting and transporting patients. Requirements Requirements: 2 - Year experience Required, Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology, BLS Certification, ARRT (R) Certification.
