Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be crucial in providing high-quality respiratory care, specializing in aiding patients recovering from serious illnesses and injuries. Our goal is to help patients regain independence through state-of-the-art rehabilitative and home health services. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver treatment plans and interventions tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in their recovery journey. Assess and monitor patient respiratory conditions through diagnostic tests and discussions with healthcare team members. Develop and implement respiratory care plans and administer appropriate therapies. Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory care devices. Educate patients and families on lung health and maintenance techniques. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to modify care plans based on patient progress and response to treatment. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Proficient in using respiratory care equipment Strong analytical and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of respiratory health and safety protocols Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist BLS and ACLS certification
