Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversight of training program and department adherence to training requirements.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Periodically required to attend various seminars, conferences, or training classes such as Training Within Industry (TWI), and be able to use the training effectively in the execution of the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Develops, audits, and supports team of TWI certified trainers to promote adherence to TWI methodology and trainer effectiveness.
  • Conducts training for people with training responsibilities and production employees.
  • Oversees off-line training program and training room.
  • Training to include content pertaining to work instructions, job function, culture, safety, continuous improvement, and Oracle transactions.
  • Assists in development of training materials.
  • Work with management to develop culture shaping content and then train accordingly.
  • Participates in kaizen events and assists in training operators on changes to standard work.

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must complete the TWI JI 40-hour "Train the Trainer" course.
    • Minimum 2 years of training or manufacturing experience.
      Other Skills and Abilities:
      • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
      • Organized and detail-oriented
      • Strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills.
      • Able to maintain a flexible schedule in order to train and support off-shifts as required.
      • Must have a basic competency level in use of Microsoft Tools such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
