The Analytical Chemist's primary purpose is to safely conduct routine and specialized chemical analysis, while precisely following written work instructions (test methods) in order to generate accurate and timely results. The data generated will be legibly documented and will primarily support production needs.We have an immediate opening for a Chemist on 2nd shift (3PM to 11PM, M-F), at our Port Washington location.Sign-on Bonus Details$500 paid at 60 days, $1000 at 6 months. Must be in good standing to qualify. Bonus will be paid on the next full pay period once the milestone has been reached.What can KTP do for you?Develop yourself Opportunities for rapid growth and advancementStability We've never had a lay off!Respect and teamwork You are not just a number at KTP; join our team and let us prove it to you!Essential Functions of the Analytical ChemistConduct routine analytical chemical testing on products submitted to the lab, this includes analysis of raw material, in process batches and finished goods or bulk samples.Conducts specialized analytical testing as directed by the Laboratory Manager, in support of development projects, new products, method troubleshooting or as part of Out-of Specification investigations. Properly documents all results according to Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instructions, and reviews the rework of other laboratory personnel as required.Learns all aspects of laboratory instrumentation, gas chromatography (GC), High Pressure LiquidChromatography (HPLC), UV/Visible Spectrophotometry and FTIR.
