Full-time Description Join our Finishing Team! Mittera is currently seeking a Folder Operator on 1st or 2nd shift! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and run Stahl, MBO, and Baum Folders Evaluate and make decisions concerning quality of product while folding Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications Prepare load flags on each outgoing load showing the next operation or destination Notify supervision of mechanical/electrical problems and complete "Work Orders" for parts/repairs that require maintenance assistance Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed in order to maintain a clean, healthful, and safe work area Assist on other machines as needed Assist with hand work as needed Listen to and follow directions of the supervisor Ensure production meets department goals and metrics Follow all PPE and safety procedures and assist Operator, crew, and department in identifying areas for improvement in safety Complete all annual compliance training Meet company standards for attendance and punctuality and communicate effectively with team members All other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Previous folder operator experience preferred but not required Previous manufacturing experience preferred Effective communications skills Physical Requirements Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.
