Description:The Wet Blending Lead Operator works under the guidance of the Wet Blending Supervisor the production of wet blended products and assists in managing of the Wet Blending Operators when necessary. This position operates within FDA FSMA and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements defining food safety standards for the safe production of food in the plant and offices i.e. within the standards of defined risk levels by area.1.Reviews and verifies required documentation and ingredients are processed in proper order, and that the product is made to spec.2.Ensures that all safety, GMP practices and manufacturing procedures are being followed.3.Responsible for obtaining the picking sheets for the day from the department supervisor. 4.Collect in process product samples for testing.5.Responsible for staging the proper ingredients.6.Makes certain the metal detector and all processing equipment are operating correctly.7.Ensures the totes/pails/boxes are packed to the proper weight, and are labeled and sealed properly.8.Completes required documentation.9.Assists the Wet Blending Supervisor in ensuring that other team members are properly trained on position assignments and cross trained where applicable.10.Backs up all Wet Blending Supervisor functions during absences.11.Operates forklift.Skills:mix, blend, batch sheet, batch, food, FDA, GMPTop Skills Details:blend, mix, fdaAdditional Skills & Qualifications:HS DiplomaFood ingredient and bar code experience. Good communication skills. Understanding of basic math and strong attention to detail. The ability to be flexible to changing priorities and to work on multiple tasks.
