Job Description:

The Technical Training Instructor will deliver Service Training courses in support of Construction brands for dealer service technicians, field personnel and internal company personnel. They will work in a team environment to deliver training curriculum on assigned products including all support materials, while maintaining a professional training environment. Communicate with Technical Support, Product Management, and field personnel to identify training needs / issues to achieve product support training objectives.

 

The ideal candidate will be located in Racine, WI. Will consider New Holland, PA; Ames, IA; Memphis, TN; or Saskatoon, Canada.

 


Deliver Technical Training courses for dealer service technicians, field personnel and internal company personnel.

Design & develop training support materials on assigned products.

Assist other product support areas (Technical Support and Technical Publications) as required.

Maintain equipment inventory for assigned products to support Service Training needs.

Ensure training courses and materials meet department guidelines.

Coordinate travel, supporting material and equipment logistics for on site and off site training courses.

Work at off-site locations to present localized training. (Approx. 20-40 % of the time).


Associate's Degree and 3+ years of mechanical or training experience

OR a High School Diploma with 5+ years of mechanical or training experience

1+ years of product or customer support experience

1+ years technical experience relating to diagnostics of mechanical, electrical (12 or 24 volt DC) and hydraulic systems in a profession or hobby

 

The preferred candidate will have:

Bachelor's Degree in any of the following: Engineering, Agriculture or Construction Equipment, Adult Education

Equipment diagnostic experience

Experience with dealership service department activities, especially maintenance and repair of construction equipment

Technical Knowledge in one or more of the following product areas: Agriculture or Construction equipment with emphasis on power trains, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems

Strong familiarity with Dealership business practices relating to product support

Knowledge of Machine Control, Telematics, and Diesel Engine Emissions Systems

Knowledge or experience with Adult Learning Methodology and Remote/Distance Learning

Excellent written and oral presentation skills

Comprehensive computer skills
