Job Description:

Provide maintenance support for the company including production, quality and R&D. Contribute to efficiency and professional atmosphere of facilities through effective, timely maintenance of production, quality and R&D equipment and overall facilities.

Coordinate testing, calibration and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment for conformance to established standards; this includes following calibration methodology and procedures for existing and newly installed instrumentation and equipment, and support equipment Installation and Operational Qualification activities as required.

Corrective Maintenance/Calibration

* Perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other repairs or recalibration as necessary to equipment and buildings.

Preventative Maintenance

* Perform timely inspection and preventative maintenance per defined procedures for productions equipment and buildings. * Complete PM documentation (electronic and/or paper) and analyze test results in accordance with internal SOP's and cGMP requirements

Program Assistance

* Performed skilled labor on projects; by assisting Engineering and R&D efforts in performing key activities.

Project Management

* Supervise and coordination of tasks with outside contractors and vendors for small to medium projects, maintenance or calibration activities

On Call

* Rotation of "On Call" duties for repair, maintenance, and/or calibration of the equipment and facility with other assigned staff


* Coordinate the calibration of manufacturing and product testing equipment * Generate calibration documents and analyze test results in accordance with internal SOP's and cGMP requirements * Review and approve calibrations and supporting documents performed by external calibration services


* Associates Degree in automotive technology, industrial/electrical technology or related field required

Professional experience

* Sound knowledge of various trades. Required * Minimum of 3 years' experience in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, electrical or related trades. Required * Experience working with hand tools, calibration equipment, and electrical test equipment. Preferred * Minimum 2 years in the medical device field or other Quality Control/Quality Assurance trade desired

Knowledge, skills and abilities (incl. languages)

* Electrical/mechanical aptitude * Ability to manage time efficiently and reliable * Good communications skills both written and verbal. * Familiar with ISO 9000/ISO 13485 Quality System Standards, FDA Quality System * Regulations, GMP's and/or other international medical device regulations

Knowledge of methods

* Basic working knowledge of fundamental metrology/calibration concepts and practices

Personal skills

* Proficient in the use of computers including use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required * Understanding of and experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software.

Driver license required

Physical ability to: work overhead, in confined spaces and at heights; lift and carry up to 35 pounds; climb/descend stairs/ladders; and dexterity to work on intricate/complex assemblies.

Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 250 pounds on occasion
