Job Title:  Teacher - Child Care

 

Location:  Ascension All Saints, Little Saints Daycare

 

Address:  4021 Spring Street, Racine, Wisconsin

 

Hours:  Part time, Days, 20 hours per week

 

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday. Part-time hours as agreed by associate and supervisor between 5:45am-6:00pm.

 

Position Summary:  With fair pay, good benefits, safe working environment, and opportunities for growth, this quality employer offers the opportunity to join our team as a full time, first shift, 40-hour per week ASSISTANT CHILD CARE TEACHER at our Ascension All Saints - Little Saints Child Care Center in Racine, WI. What You Will Do:

Plan and implement child care and educational activities for assigned children.

  • Plan, prepare, and oversee child safety in the classroom and every setting with a supportive environment in which children can learn through play.
  • Monitor child attendance, with constant awareness of each child’s whereabouts.
  • Organize and provide developmentally appropriate early childhood education programs; developing and implementing child-led/teacher-guided lesson plans for children ranging in age from four weeks to twelve years old.
  • Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, self-sufficiency, and problem-solving skills appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of children.
  • Maintain written individual assessments of each child's development, for use in reflective lesson planning and progress reporting to parents;
  • Interact with parents, maintain open and cooperative communication, and encourage their involvement.
  • Ensure that assigned equipment and materials are adequately maintained in safe working order and recommend new equipment as appropriate;
  • Maintain positive communication with supervisors, colleagues, child's parents/guardians and incorporate their recommendations into the child's daily routine.
  • Ensures instructional activities are developmentally appropriate and reflects their individual interests.
  • Completes required lesson plans and maintains accurate and timely documentation of all required activities and interactions.
  • Ensures that assigned equipment and materials are adequately maintained in safe working order and recommends new equipment as appropriate.
  • Maintains positive communications with child's parents/guardians and incorporates their recommendations into child's daily routine.
What You Will Need:

Licensure/Certification:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Work Experience:

  • Some ECE experience, certifications/credits preferred.
