JOB SUMMARY:
The Safety Support Worker seeks to preserve the family unit by
providing comprehensive and family-focused intervention to assure
that children can remain safely in their home.
SALARY: $18.26 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage protective plans and in-home safety plans as developed by
Initial Assessment Workers (IAW) and Ongoing Services Case
Managers. Ensure that danger threats are being controlled and the
issues of maltreatment are addressed.
Conduct home visits to assess risk of child abuse/neglect, plan for
child safety, and strengthen families.
Conduct face-to-face contacts with all assigned families as
instructed by the safety plan, at minimum, on a weekly basis.
Facilitate parent education to strengthen families and reduce risk
of maltreatment.
Provide service referrals, resources, and link families to
community supports to achieve and maintain child safety.
Coordinate and facilitate the Family Teaming process. Engage the
family in interventions through the use of formal, informal and
natural supports.
Ensure that children attend required medical care appointments.
Conduct supervised and monitored visits. .
Safely transport clients as needed.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a human services related
field.
One year of experience working with high-risk youth and families is
required.
