Job Description
Under the direction of the Administrative Services Manager,
assist in the control of vehicular and pedestrian traffic at an
assigned
location for a prescribed period of time to ensure the safety of
school
children and the safe, orderly flow of vehicular traffic. These
part-time
duties are performed during the school year from late August to
early June.
Crossing Guards work under the general supervision of the Support
Services
Manager.
Relief Crossing Guards must be able to report to work with very
little notice to substitute for regular Crossing Guards, there is
no guarantee of hours and shifts may vary.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Random patrols of Police Officers, Traffic Investigators, Deputy
Chief and Administrative Managers.
