insurance coverage with no premium!JOB SUMMARY:The Kinship Care
Worker is responsible for determining caregiver eligibility to join
the Kinship Care program and monitoring clients' compliance with
eligibility requirements.The Kinship Care program is designed to
help support a child who resides outside of his or her own home,
either temporarily or for the long term, by someone who is related
to the child by family ties or by a significant prior relationship
connection. Kinship Care supports the concept of children residing
with a relative caregiver, rather than being placed in a foster
home or other out-of-home placement. Professional Services Group
conducts assessments of kinship cases where the children are living
with relatives that are privately arranged by family members.
LOCATION AND HOURS: Office is based at the Racine County Human
Services Building, with flexibility to work hybrid/remote two days
per week after six months of employment. Hybrid model of time spent
at the office and out in the community completing home visits.
Hours are typically Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm with
occasional evenings.SALARY: $18.00-20.00 per hourESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:Process applications for Voluntary Kinship Care and Court
Ordered Kinship Care, and determine caregiver eligibility to
provide services in the program.Conduct reviews to determine
continuation of kinship care payments to enrolled
caregivers.Accurately enter information into State and County
databases.Investigate and take appropriate action on client
complaints.Process denial letters in a timely manner.Provide
monthly reports to the Racine County Human Services Department.
Requirements:
Must possess valid driver's license, personal auto insurance, and
reliable transportation on a daily basis.Bachelor's Degree in
Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field
