DescriptionGeorgia-Pacific is hosting an onsite Hiring Event at our Broadway location at 1919 S Broadway, Green Bay, WI 54304 on Wednesday, 02/08 from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM OR Thursday, 02/09 from 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Start your career as a Material Handler for Georgia-Pacific at our Broadway facility in our Logistics and Fiber Department.Material Handlers work a twelve (12) hour rotating shift that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. We offer highly competitive starting wages which are determined by experience. In addition to a great starting wage, team members also receive a full benefits package, overtime opportunities, two (2) weeks of vacation prorated for the first year, along with the opportunity to work in a progressive, safety-conscious work environment.External applicants are eligible to receive a sign-on bonus equal to 15% of the total earnings from the first 90 calendar days of employment.What You Will Do In Your RoleOperating mobile equipment with various attachments; clamp, fork, prong, etc., to move material throughout the mill to ensure a smooth flow for productionUsing a warehouse management system to manage the various jobs that need to be completed each dayPerforming general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazardsConducting minor and preventative maintenance repairs and tasks on fork trucksAdhering to strict safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Performing tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing and sitting for up to twelve (12) hours a dayThe Experience You Will BringRequirementsExperience using a computer OR tablet OR smartphoneWhat Will Put You AheadForklift experienceExperience working a rotating shiftExperience using a warehouse management systemExperience working with a teamOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
