Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for
supporting aircraft maintenance activities to ensure airworthiness
of all company aircraft. This role is responsible for ensuring all
assigned duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory and
manufacturer requirements with an emphasis on maintaining a safe
working environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform aircraft inspections, repairs, preventative
maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of parts as
necessary
- Planning and controlling of maintenance activities on assigned
aircraft
- Manage technical records and technical manuals for assigned
aircraft
- Assist in the planning of major inspections, modifications, and
equipment upgrades on assigned aircraft
- Provide oversight of maintenance performed at service
centers
- Support flight operations by performing preflight and
postflight checks, assisting passengers, conducting debriefs with
crew members, and ensuring aircraft is ground handled safely and in
accordance with company procedures
- Perform aircraft launch and recovery duties when flight line
service personnel are not available
- Maintain valid licenses and certificates required to perform
assigned maintenance duties
- Removing from service any company aircraft that are
unairworthy, unsafe, or are not in compliance with regulatory or
company requirements
- Maintain technical proficiency by attending aircraft technical
training, industry seminars, webinars, and conferences
- Ensuring all discrepancies are corrected or deferred in a
timely manner
- Attend cabin safety attendant training and travel with SCJ
aircraft on global missions if requested
- Assist in the management of aircraft spares, consumables, and
chemicals inventory
- Maintain a tool control system
- Assist in management of tool and equipment calibration
- Assist in management of maintenance training by
coordinating/conducting of in house training, scheduling of outside
vendor training, and maintaining training records
- Act as technical liaison for cabin data connectivity
- Perform other duties and complete special projects as requested
by the Chief of Maintenance
- Fully understand and participate effectively in the safety
management systemRequired Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Working knowledge of federal regulations and standards relating
to aircraft maintenance
- 3 years' experience in aircraft maintenance
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the
United StatesPreferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage complex technical challenges
- Thorough knowledge of complex mechanical, hydraulic,
electrical, and avionics systems
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration
skills
- Falcon 7X/8X or Falcon Easy cockpit experience (or
similar)
- College degree preferredJob Requirements:
- Full time Monday-Friday core office hours
- Weekend, holiday, evening and night hours are required to
accommodate flight schedule
- Occasional on call requirements for nights, weekends, and
holidays
- Business travel, as necessary
- This position is not eligible for remote workSC Johnson's total
