INTERN ARCHITECT / JUNIOR ARCHITECT " HEALTHCARE DESIGN STUDIO Milwaukee, WI JOB TITLE: Intern Architect / Junior Architect " Healthcare Design Studio OFFICE LOCATION: Milwaukee, Wisconsin TERM: Full-Time Permanent Hire COMPENSATION: Highly competitive compensation package plus benefits and performance bonus JOB DESCRIPTION: National Architecture & Engineering Design firm actively seeks talented and career minded Intern Architect /Junior Architect to join our healthcare project design studio in Milwaukee, WI. This Intern Architect /Junior Architect role requires excellent communication, time management and technical skills as you will work closely with Senior Project Architects and Architectural Project Managers developing non-routine and complex design concepts in a manner responsive to the client's needs and deadlines. This role will also have multiple opportunities for client interaction and will help our team maintain a commitment to design and quality for all types of projects. Ideal Qualifications for this Intern Architect / Junior Architect include: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Architecture (preferred) Minimum of 1-5 years of architectural industry experience pertaining to small to large scale project types such as healthcare, education, institutional, government, or commercial projects. Proficient working knowledge of Revit AutoCAD, 3DS Max, SketchUp knowledge preferred Candidates must aspire to pursue Architectural Registration Intern Architect / Junior Architect role and responsibilities include: - Develops a thorough understanding of projects design philosophy and provides input in developing a design and building performance strategy and effectively conveys this to assigned team members when appropriate - Contributes to projects technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work, in close collaboration with Senior Designer - Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops appropriate research and documents to support these solutions - Actively collaborates with and coordinates work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, integrated and support the design concept and performance goals of the project - Contributes to the preparation of design documents and detailed development of construction documents during all project phases, delivering complete, accurate and coordinated project documentation - Advances the production of schematic, design development and construction documents in compliance with project scope, schedule, cost and design intent. - Maintains awareness of evolving building technology and systems - Reviews shop drawings, material samples and CDs for conformance with design - Performs construction administration duties (e.g. RFIs, RFPs, change orders, etc.) - Maintains contact with clients, consultants and contractors during all project phases, participating in marketing, client and owner presentations as required OUR FIRM: National multidisciplinary Architecture & Engineering Design firm with over 60 years of experience providing superb modern design through collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to meeting and exceeding expectations.
