Job Description Job Description QA Associate - Chemist The QA
Associate Chemist is responsible for ensuring the quality and
consistency of epoxy molding compounds and raw materials used in
production. This role involves performing analytical and physical
testing, monitoring process quality, troubleshooting quality
issues, and ensuring compliance with internal specifications,
industry standards, and customer requirements. As a QA Associate -
Chemist you will: Conduct routine chemical and physical tests on
raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods according
to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Perform analytical tests
such as viscosity, gel time, curing properties, filler content, and
moisture analysis. Use instruments such as FTIR, DSC, TGA, GC,
HPLC, and viscometers for material characterization. Verify batch
conformity with product specifications and document all test
results accurately. Report any non-conforming results and assist in
root cause analysis and corrective action. Prepare and label
samples for testing and retain storage. Accurately record test
results in lab notebooks and/or electronic databases. Collaborate
with production and R&D teams to resolve formulation or
process-related quality issues. Ensure that all laboratory
activities comply with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure workspace
cleanliness. Follow all laboratory safety guidelines and
procedures. Participate in safety audits, equipment calibrations,
and laboratory maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned. We
are looking for someone who has: A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry,
Analytical Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related
field. 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a QC or analytical lab,
preferably in chemical manufacturing or polymer systems.
Familiarity in wet chemistry and instrumental techniques required
including FTIR DSC Viscosity measurements Strong knowledge of
laboratory data systems and documentation practices. Excellent
technical writing skills and verbal communication of testing
results. Able to effectively communicate (verbal, written,
presentations) across all levels of the organization. Strong
attention to detail and have ability to independently work under
minimal supervision. Proven experience with computers; Microsoft
Office, Microsoft Project or equivalents. Ideally you will also: Be
able to read and interpret technical standards. Have experience
with thermoset systems (e.g., epoxies) and cure kinetics. Have
experience with additional testing equipment including Shimadzu
testers TGA Karl Fischer Titration Rheometer The working conditions
of the role are: General Office Environment, PC use Light Lifting
(occasional 25 lbs or less) Stooping Standing Heavy Lifting
(frequent 25 lbs ) What we offer you: Typical pay is $61,433 –
75,257 annually. Please note the pay information shown above is a
general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience,
